In June, all Year 1 pupils in the country will take part in the Phonics Screening Check (PSC). This is a statutory assessment which will look at children's ability to blend real word and nonsense words. 

After February half-term, Mrs King and Miss Sturman will be holding a parent's meeting about the PSC.

This meeting will contain:

• Information about the PSC and how it takes place
• Top tips for ensuring your child is fully prepared for the screener

The meeting will be held on Tuesday 21st February at 15:30 in the Year 1 Classroom and should take no longer than 15-20 minutes. An activity will be put on outside the Y1 classroom for the children to enjoy whilst parents attend the meeting.
