Year 3 visit keyworth library!
We visited Keyworth Library!
This afternoon, Y3 visited Keyworth Library, where we were kindly met by the librarians, who were super helpful!
As an introduction to the library, we learnt that the library is split into various sections. These are organised by genre and Keyworth library has a range of books including non-fiction and fiction. We also learnt that there are a range of books including and not limited to- chapter books, picture books, books based on hobbies, books around the world, graphic novels and even audiobooks!
We learnt how to find a book as they are in alphabetical order. We learnt that with a library card, children can borrow up to 24 books at a time for 3 weeks! You will find that your child has come home with a little leaflet on how they can apply for a library card, so they can loan books as there is a wide variety to choose from. Here is the link to sign up for a card : Click here to become a library member

*A massive thank you to our adults that came to help today!
Finally, at the end of our introduction, we had the chance to dive into the world of books and access a range of books to read with our friends. The behaviour this afternoon was brilliant and Y3 represented our school beautifully in the community!
