FAIRYTALES & CASTLES!

The big idea question's we will be exploring this week are:

What stories were told hundreds of years ago?

How are castles different from where we live?

We will be sharing traditional tales with children (all of which feature Castles!)
These stories have been told and passed down generations for hundreds of years.

We will be re-telling these stories, drawing pictures to create story maps building/making our own castles!

We will be sharing lots of traditional tales throughout the week, including Cinderella and
The Wizard of Oz. Have a listen below:

We will be singing 'There was a Princess Long Ago'...

F2- We are continuing to embed the sounds we have covered so far, we are using these sounds to write simple words- using our 'Fred Fingers' to hear the sounds. For more information check out our phonics page: here.

We are also working on our letter formation and drawing anti-clockwise circles that help the children form letters correctly (e.g c, g, a, o, d)- all these letters require anti-clockwise movement with the pencil... When children naturally want to draw circles clockwise. A super tricky skill to master!

Thank you for all of your support with phonics at home :)

We will be holding a 'Storybook café' on Wednesday 18th December... We will be hosting this at drop off time... So come on in, grab a book and get cosy.
