On Thursday the 5th of March we will be having a whole school celebration of World Book Day. The children always love coming to school dressed up as their favourite storybook character and the KS2 children have been busy thinking about their costumes as part of their Silver Reading Award. We can't wait to see who you have all chosen to come as. 

However, as World Book Day is not just about dressing up, the staff have planned a wonderful day where the children will travel around the school meeting different authors in each classroom and participate in a range of fun, book related, activities. The children will finish off the day by meeting and reading with their reading buddies and sharing everything they have been doing in a Family Assembly at 3:00- Please come and join us if you can. 

Perhaps you could even start this special reading day off with a trip to our Dragon's Reading Lair at 8:30am. All children must be accompanied by an adult (except children in Y5/6).
