This term Andersen Class have been busy learning all about sketching and painting techniques.  Alongside this they have been sketching blossom tree similar to the work of Yang Wujiu ready to paint them on lanterns. The children started the lesson by looking at their past work and the skills they had used then they began to paint the branches using thin strokes. Once they had done this, they used their fingers to paint the blossoms on to the branches.

We had an amazing time and the children took great pride in their work throughout and when it was displayed. See below for the photos.
