Andersen's class have started learning all about instructions this week, looking at different types of instructions and also what features are uses such as imperative verbs (bossy verbs) and time connectives.  As part of our learning we had an experience day which involved us baking some rice crispy cakes following a set of instruction we mapped out. 

We started the day by practising our instructions using actions and our instruction map. Then we began to follow the instructions very carefully. We did have to have a short break as we set the fire alarm off by burning butter (oops!).  Once we were safely back in the building we carried on and decorated our cakes.From this lesson we have begun writing our own set of instructions.
