This term in art we have been doing an art project that is linked to our geography topic, The Great Blue Abyss. During this we recapped the work of Paul Klee as well as explored drawing and painting skills to create an underwater landscape.

 

First we created an ocean mood board with all our ideas.

We then looked at the work of Paul Klee and the skills he used in his work.

We then began looking at sketching skills and practising sketching a range of sea creatures using sketching skills such as cross-hatch, blending and gradual blending. 

During the last week, we had a making day when we explored the skills we have learnt about over the last few weeks to choose a final sketch  to draw and then paint a watercoloured landscape.
