MINI BEASTS GALORE!

The start of 'Magnificent mini-beasts' topic has been a hit with the children. We are finding out what different mini-beasts are called and talking about what they look like (colours, how many legs they have, if they have a shell to protect them etc). 

This week, the big idea question we will be exploring is:

Can all mini beasts fly?

We will be sharing this wonderful book which tells us all about different creepy crawlies and how they are truly awesome in their own unique way.

We will also be reading this story: 

 

 

Here are some activities you could try at home over the next few weeks, or think of your own. We would love to see what you get up to on tapestry or if you spot any creepy crawlies anywhere!

  • We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March - The children can come to school dressed as a book character if they would like to. We will be doing lots of fun book/poetry inspired activities in EYFS.
