WHAT DO PIRATES WEAR & WHAT TRANSPORT CAN/CANNOT TRAVEL ON WATER?
This week our big idea question's are:
- What do pirates wear?
- What transport can/cannot travel on water?
We will be getting stuck in to all things pirate related! We will be sharing stories, singing songs, making ships and boats and exploring floating and sinking.
Here are the brilliant stories that we will be sharing (along with lots of other pirate stories - feel free to bring any 'pirate' related books you might have at home that we can share with the children - remember to name them, so we can keep them safe).
Can you listen to this song and watch the video? Can you test out floating and sinking with some objects at home - you could fill a tub with water or use the sink/bath.
- Thursday 29th June is transition day
-F2 Children will be in year 1 for the day with their new class teacher Miss Sturman. Please go to the Year 1 door for 8:50am.
-F1 Children who will be starting F2 in September - please come to the F2 door which will be open from 8:55am. Children can be collected from same F2 door at 3:30pm. If your child doesn't usually stay for lunches, please bring a packed lunch or let a member of staff know in advance, so we can book a school dinner. - -F1 Children who will be staying in F1 in September - please meet Mrs Boon at the Nursery gate as usual.
- Friday 30th June is EYFS sports morning races
Please can children come to school in their PE kits/shorts and t-shirt making sure they have a water bottle, hat and suncream already applied before coming to school.
Sports day 10:30am- 11:45am - we will text out closer to the time which gate we will be letting parents in from.
Any F1's that are not usually in on a Friday morning are more than welcome to attend - please bring them to Reception for 10:20am.
