Spring term in Y6
Welcome back Year 6!
Our topic for the whole of the Spring term is 'Arctic adventures and the Frozen Kingdom' which is a geography topic. We've got some exciting things to look forward to, including a talk from a polar bear expert and a real explorer! Our class novel will be 'The Polar Bear Explorers' Club' by Alex Bell.
PE days:
Tuesday (dance) and Wednesday (basketball, outdoors). Please ensure your child has the correct kit.
Homework expectations:
- Stay in the green zone for Doodle Maths and Doodle Spell - this is especially important in the run-up to SATs as I will be setting extras on both Doodle Maths and Spell. These extras are specific to your child and will support them with their learning in the classroom.
- Reading and recording it in home/school diaries.
Have a look at the attached curriculum map to find out what else we will be learning about this term.
