What the Ladybird Heard/Signs of Spring & Easter!

Our final week of our 'Macnificent Mini-beasts' topic! We are so impressed with how much knowledge the children have soaked up during this topic and how interested they have been to learn about lots of different teeny tiny creatures! We loved our 'Lion Learners' visit from Kristan. Make sure to check out all the photos on tapestry.
We will be reviewing all of our previous big idea question's (see if the children can talk about these at home)
What is a mini-beast?
What is the lifecycle of a butterfly?
Why do spiders spin webs?
What job do bees do?
And talking about our new big idea question's:
What are the signs of Spring?
How do people celebrate Easter?
We will be sharing these wonderful stories and re-telling them drawing story maps:
Here are our words of the week we will be sharing with the children in F1:

Talk about the signs of spring - can you go on a walk and spot any of them? Send your photos in on tapestry for a show and tell session this week.
You could sing along to our songs of the week:
- Please could all children bring in a small pebble/stone so that we can paint them and turn them into mini-beasts in school. We are hoping to make a lovely garden with them in our outdoor area.
- We look forward to seeing everyone at parents' evening this week (Monday or Thursday)- if you're not sure of your time, please check with a member of staff.
- We break up for school for the Easter holidays on Friday 4th April–we hope everyone has a lovely Easter break and look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Tuesday 22nd April. As always, feel free to put any photos on tapestry - we will share them once back in school 🐣🍫🥕🐰🌹🌼🌞
