The children had the opportunity to immerse themselves in 7 different authors and book worlds.

 Year 3 chose  'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl as our book focus this year.

The children  arrived in class and were surprised to find that the classroom had turned into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory! They were surrounded by mushrooms, golden tickets, delicious chocolate bars and tables covered in colourful sweets. 

Our book activities included: sketching and creating our own character to enter the chocolate factory, being newspaper reporters and interviewing our characters upon winning a golden ticket, inventing our own sweet invention for Willy Wonka and designing our packaging.

It was such a pleasure watching all the children take such an interest and enthusiasm in the activities and thank you to each and every one of you for taking part.

Also, a huge thank you to everyone who had taken the time and effort to create their AMAZING world book day costume it was not gone unnoticed!
