Last week, with over 20km of English Channel still to complete before Friday’s Olympic Opening Ceremony (and the end of term!), some pupils decided to stage a Row-a-thon. Using indoor rowing machines lent by Nottingham Rowing Club, an energetic team of year 5s and 6s with help from others attempted to complete the last 20km of English Channel that still needed to be crossed. The children loved rowing so much that they didn’t want to stop at 20km and finished instead at a massive 24.5km achieved in relay-style on two machines. Others were also smashing through the target on the rowing machine at the Leisure Centre!
The year 3/4 children had a great time at Go APE! They took part in different activities, with one of those being the nets and a nature walk.
Great job kids
