This week the Orangutans got to get our violins out for the first time in our lesson with Mrs Price! Firstly, we learned about the different parts of the violin and what they were called. There was great excitement and anticipation for when we got to open our instrument cases for the first time! Some of us are even learning the cello and viola (a lot of schools don’t get to do that - sshhh!) meaning we can play in different parts! Mrs Price taught us the names of the strings and then we plucked along to ‘What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor?’ using the G and D strings. What a great first session!
